Occasionally, in addition to posting information about course sessions, the students of the class and I (the instructor) will post information about events, books, videos, websites, exhibits, and other objects that may be of interest to students in the course and followers of the blog (or to anyone interested in questions about aesthetics, and questions about South Asian art, literature and music). This is the first of such posts.
Acclaimed novelist and essayist Zadie Smith will be speaking on the aesthetics and politics of color in what is sure to be an engaging talk at Harrison Auditorium in the Penn Museum this coming Wednesday. There are still tickets available; I encourage all those interested to attend. -TWW
